THE COSTS BORNE BY PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO THE NATIONAL TEAM ARE SUBSTANTIAL. PERSONAL EXPENSES INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION, MEALS AND HOUSING BOTH AT THE NATIONAL TRAINING CAMP IN NEW YORK AS WELL AS AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ITALY.
